The Animation Update Is Here!


Hello everyone, Steve here.


It's been a while since our last update, but today we're happy to announce the animation update has arrived for Blue Flame.

This update contains reworked vegetation and a lot of animation for the enemies in the game, although it's not fully complete.  Here's a list of what we've added and what's next in the following update:

  • Reworked vegetation
  • Bushes and Trees are now burnable, burning them makes the Treants harder
  • New animations for the Archers, Soldiers, Red Knights and Crawler
  • Updates to the boss, Daeodon
  • Added two new zones, West Road and Crossroad Tavern
  • Abandoned Soul added to the Tavern
  • The Dash mechanic is now more of a nudge than a long jump
  • Attack sounds for the melee characters
  • UI updates
  • Various gameplay updates and fixes


What's coming next?

We're setting the release of the Vertical Slice to the end of this month, but until then, here's what's coming next:

  • Treant and Mage models and animations
  • More animations and animation fixes
  • Additional sounds and music
  • NPCs
  • An actual tavern for the hub world
  • Reworked UI
